...about those portions...



I notiiced something the other day.
The sizes of things has changed over the years. Candy bars, soda bottles' containers, , and so on.

There is, I think, a common serving size for a given food. I think producers may be making serving sizes smaller or larger than that size, intentionally. Take hamburger buns, for instance. I noticed the buns I purchased are relatively small. Another store has them larger, much larger. Neither is what I would call a comfortablle or 'natural' size.

What's the importance? This. If we eat a small serving, wer're left wanting and may choose to eat another, overeating in the process., If we eat a large serving, we overeat.

Consider the tobacco industry and the farming of the American public. If the tobacco industry does this, why not the food industry? Something to consider.
